SP-Program

Deadline: 15 February 2025

Would you like to run an ongoing series of scientific activities aimed at children, young people, or the public? Do you want to attract young people in Brussels to STEM fields of study and careers and encourage a scientific culture in Brussels? Thanks to our Science Promotion - Program, you can finance your series of training courses, conferences, workshops, extra-curricular activities, or science camps.

Are you eligible ?

You have submitted your project on time. An SP-Program grant application must be submitted by February 15 at the latest for activities taking place in the following school year.

Your project :

  • Is aimed at the people of Brussels
  • Via a continuous series of activities with a similar format (lectures, workshops, training courses, laboratories, internships, etc.), spread over the school year.
  • Which raise awareness of science, technology and/or innovation by:
    •  Attracting young people to STEM fields of study and careers (category 1) or
    • Encouraging a scientific culture among the general public (category 2).

Eligibility requirements are detailed in the application form.

The 4-step procedure

  1. Submit your request using the form at the bottom of the page. Submit the completed form in PDF and DOC format to Innoviris at the following e-mail address: funding-request@innoviris.brussels.
  2. Once Innoviris has confirmed that your application is eligible, all eligible applications will be evaluated by a jury (peer review) according to the criteria set out in the rules below.
  3. If your grant is approved, you will receive the first part of the funding amount at the start of your project.
  4. At the end of the project, following an evaluation of your financial and activity report, you will receive the remaining amount of funding.

Good to know

The more continuous nature of awareness-raising activities contrasts with the temporary nature of events funded under the SP-EVENT program.

Projects have a maximum duration of one year.

The financial contribution covers up to 80% of project costs.
The grant is awarded on the basis of European legislation on de minimis aid. As a beneficiary, you must ensure that the total amount of de minimis aid you have already received does not exceed €300,000 over a three-year period.
