Who will be our next Women Award in Technology and Science (WATS) ambassador?
A myriad of role models
Role models come in all shapes and sizes. To get involved in STEM, young girls often look to both everyday and exceptional role models for inspiration. Marie Curie and Ada Lovelace have embarked on extraordinary journeys and have accomplished great things, inspiring young girls to dream big. But at the same time, these girls also need role models who are closer to them, with whom they can more easily identify, so they can say to themselves: "If this person can do it, then so can I!". With our initiative, we aim to reach out to women with different backgrounds in various scientific and technological fields. We target researchers, entrepreneurs and science outreach actors equally.
