The Brussels-Capital Region has an excellent university and business fabric, and a wide range of high-quality public and private tools that contribute to regional development.
Despite the budgetary context, the Belgian RDI budget has never been as high as in the past ten years, thanks to the Brussels-Capital Region.
In addition to research policy in the strict sense of the word, with Innoviris as the main institution, there are other regional institutions that contribute to the innovative ecosystem:

- Citydev offers hosting and incubation structures.
- Hub.brussels supports companies and stimulates the ecosystem through various sectoral clusters.
